Mother’s Day Sunday May 12th

motherHey! Are you forgetting something?

This coming Sunday, May 12th, is Mother’s Day. How about treating your mom, gramma, aunts … all those great women who looked after you …  Well, how about treating them to a fun afternoon of rafting?

Our specially designed, safe, comfortable rafts are perfect for the whole family, from the very young to the very old.

Make the whole day special: You’ve got time to go out for breakfast then join us at noon for 2 1/2 hours of carefree fun where we look after all the details. We’ll even take the pictures for you.

But book now. The rafts are filling up & it’s looking like we’re going to have great weather this weekend.

We love deals! Do you?

We love great deals just as much as anyone. How great that The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge has special promos for BC & Alberta Residents: Come play in your back yard, Jasper! Of course, while you’re staying at the lodge, take advantage of shuttle service to come out rafting.

And, anyone from anywhere can book the “99 Ways to Play Spring Vacation Package.” You get the convenience of booking your raft trip though the lodge’s concierge & charging the trip to your room. The concierge will take care of arrangements including transportation. Plus, you get a $99 credit per night that can be used towards your raft trip.

Their Spring Midweek Travel Package gives you $50 towards activities, like raft trips, booked through your concierge. Get away midweek & save money.

How sweet is that?

30 x 30 Nature Challenge

David SuzukiThe David Suzuki Foundation publishes great articles about how to improve your well-being. One recent article about stress reminded us about how lucky we are as raft guides to be working in the great outdoors.

Did you know that “sitting is the smoking of our generation,” according to some recent studies? Long hours at sit-down jobs and school is damaging our health. But, pardon the pun, you don’t have to take this bad news sitting down.

You can greatly relieve stress levels by committing to add nature back into your daily routine. David Suzuki has a great challenge that will actually help you introduce activity in nature. It’s called the 30 x 30 Challenge.

When you sign up for the challenge, you get the support of the Suzuki Foundation in helping to motivate you and your family by sharing your diary of activities, submitting your photos & sharing great tips for inspiration.

We’re pretty lucky in Jasper because we’re surrounded by nature, bike paths, hiking trails, rivers, Marmot Basin Ski Hill and a community that is committed to an active lifestyle. But, if you take the 30 x 30 challenge, chance are that you’ll discover loads of nature’s gems in your own community.

Have fun!

We’re number one!

It’s official. Rafting season has begun with Jasper Raft Tours claiming the first raft tour of 2013.

This afternoon, we’re running a Familiarization Trip for our enthusiastic tourism workers, local tour operators and guides. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. It’s sunny and warm. Yesterday the rain helped pump up the water levels. That together with the early melt will make for an awesome run today heading out from Alpine Village and landing at Old Fort Point.

Join us for our first public trips on April 29th. Book here to reserve your spot.
